KC Clay Guild Teabowl National 2013– August 23rd

Teabowl NationalKC Clay Guild Teabowl National (KCCG) (TBN) is currently in its fourth year and has presented some of the nation’s finest examples of traditional chawans, yunomis and innovative, creative tea vessels. The show is judged from digital images by a new juror every year. This year's juror is Doug Jeppesen, associate professor of art and ceramics at Wabonsee Community College. Doug has chosen 77 teabowls to be a part of the show, with an Opening Reception from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, August 23rd, at the Thornhill Gallery, Dallavis Center, Avila College. All work will be for sale.

The work submitted for jurying must be made primarily of clay, from any forming method and with any type of surface embellishment. Work must be under 6" in any direction. Doug Jeppesen and the KC Clay Guild will present a workshop for the public from 9am-4pm on Saturday, August 24 in the Ceramics room (Davallis Center) at Avila College.
