DuraCommSouthtown has a gem of a business in DuraComm Power systems, 6655 Troost Ave. For more than 20 years, owner Benny Lee has been overseeing DuraComm, an organization providing AC to DC switch mode power supplies, and now DC to DC power converters as well as DuraComm Lighting– LED and Induction lighting products, solar and other energy-efficient products. Associate Fred Baehner points out, “Many of our products are custom-made for specific customer needs, not simply off-the-shelf. Our power supply products are ‘Made In America’ to qualify for state and federal funding and incentives.”
DuraComm has been busy making many building improvements. Recently they added a production line for Power Supply products and foldable electric Cellos; improved and changed all interior lighting to LED; and installed a 25kw solar panel on the roof. The freshly painted interior walls and the new colorful outdoor lighting give a new look to Troost Ave. Be sure to stop by and see for yourself what DuraComm has to offer while browsing through the renovated live showroom.
DuraComm also sponsors the Neighbors United For Action organization, and lights up the neighborhood with its own array of colorful outside LED lighting systems. DuraComm welcomes the chance to host events for the community. See www.duracomm.com and www.duracommlighting.com for more information.
