Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be an artist in an Art Fair? Do you enjoy meeting new people from throughout the country without having to travel? How about people watching at street festivals? These are all possible experiences when you volunteer!
The Brookside Art Annual has more than 50 people giving 3 to 4 hours of their time during the weekend of May 4th. These volunteers are booth sitters who provide artists with a short break time away from their booth for respite; hosts at the information booth, sellers of Brookside t-shirts and other goodies; set-up and clean-up helpers, etc.
A second opportunity comes along on Saturday, June 9th at the Annual Waldo Crawldo pub crawl from 6pm to midnight. Teams of two are in place at each of the 14 participating restaurant/bars in Waldo selling and stamping passports for the event.
It will be an entertaining evening, to say the least. You too can enjoy these opportunities by contacting the Southtown Planning Center and signing up to work today! 816-523-5553.
