Southtown is looking good with the extensive façade improvements at Pener Plaza, on 63rd St. east of The Paseo (formerly Metro Plaza). The well-designed look creates a welcoming feel to shoppers in the area. Pener Plaza has traditionally offered many different businesses a location that is easy to find and with an abundance of parking. Recent improvements to Dunn Park, located from Meyer/Paseo Blvd. to Gregory Blvd., also have created a sense of dedication and support for the community. New concrete walking trails, benches, picnic tables and grills are being added to the park. Repairs to the existing stairs and bridge abutments will allow safe access to the grounds. Many new trees are being planted. Thanks to the KC Parks Department for providing these beautiful amenities to the area.
